There has been a major world-wide increase in E. coli resistance to standard antibiotics used for UTI's.1 For UTI's, Cranberry is a safe, effective and well tolerated choice - with no significant herb-drug interactions reported.2
Many studies recommend Cranberry Extract as an effective preventative supplement for urinary discomfort. Most cranberry extracts do not supply the required effective 3600mg of cranberry extract per day.3
For acute symptoms: 2 sachets per day for10 days
1 in the morning and 1 in the evening
For chronic symptoms: 1 sachet per day for 20 days
Depending on the frequency of attacks, 3 - 6 courses of Cys-control per year is recommended.
|
How do symptoms develop?
Most cases of cystitis are caused by Escherichia coli (E. coli), a species of bacteria commonly found in the genital area.4
Symptoms4
• Frequency:
passing frequent, smaller amounts of urine
• Urgency:
strong, persistent urge to urinate
• Dysuria:
burning or tingling sensation during urination
• Fever:
low-grade Cloudy urine: with a strong odour
• Haematuria:
blood in urine
In young children, new episodes of accidental wetting (enuresis) also may be a sign of a bladder infection.5
|
How does Cys-control work?
Treatment is directed at the underlying cause.4
• Improves bacterial ecology
• Inhibits E. coli pili bacteria
• Treats and prevents symptoms
• Reduces recurring infections after antibiotic treatment
• Reduces antibiotic consumption
Children and adults love the taste!

Bacteria bind to the bladder tract
Cys-Control decreases bacteria binding to the bladder tract (Internal study 2007: In vitro study:
Anti-adhesive action of Cranberry on E. coli pili)
|
Anti-adhesive action of Cranberry
Cys-Control contains a high content of ursolic acid (Ursolic acid has anti-inflammatory properties,
Ethnopharmacol 1995; Chiang et al 2003; Banno et al, 2003)

Cys-control – optimum efficacy 2 Intakes daily
Proanthocyanidins leave the body after 12 hours so 2 intakes a day are mandatory to assist in flushing out E.coli pili if used without antibiotic when mild symptoms appear.
